This is where the research opens into wider public inquiry: exploring the patterns, contradictions and shifts shaping how we live, work and make sense of the world.

The main home for current essays, commentary and conversation on Substack. It brings together writing on absurdity, orientation, adaptive integrity, beauty, embodiment and the changing conditions of our time.

The Brief began at Behaving Badly HQ as a way of noticing the absurdities of organizational life. Its latest issue marked the beginning of a broader shift. New editions now continue through The Age of Absurdity, where workplace absurdity sits within a larger cultural and human story.

Longer-form essays, conceptual work and research-linked writing sit alongside the Field Papers in the InSpark research library. This is where emerging ideas are developed in greater depth, including work on orientation, signals, functional absurdity and adaptive integrity.

Selected earlier issues and resources remain available through the Behaving Badly HQ archive.
